Nearly 5 months ago, we (Smuv) decided to take on the challenge of building Pawa - a payment and cashback app that helps you save money whenever you make expenses.
The goal for us from the onset was to build something different from what’s regular today.
Take for instance, when you use Pawa to pay for your airtime, you’ll instantly get a cashback of up to 5%. The same thing applies to internet data.
Most of our competitors will charge you at least a N100 service fee to allow you to renew your cable TV subscription or pay your electricity bill. However, it’s a different case for Pawa because we charge zero service fees, instead, you get a cashback from us for literally every payment you make.
Just when you think we are done, I'll introduce to you another unique feature in the entire payment landscape in Nigeria called NairaPin.
NairaPin is a 20-digit token that makes it easy to send and receive money seamlessly without the need to worry about network downtime.
