Born to Dominate!
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." - [Genesis 1:27-28]
What is Dominion?
Dominion simply means the power to rule or exercise control over a territory. It means supreme authority (sovereignty) and absolute ownership.
Dominion is God's principal assignment to man on earth [Genesis 1:28-29]. It was a mandate embodied in man at creation. Fruitfulness was also given to man but was not exclusive to him. Other creatures received that mandate also. Only the mandate to subdue and dominate was exclusive to man.
The angels saw the glory of it and even protested in [Psalm 8:4-6]. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.
Why Must You Exercise Dominion?
[1]. It is God's command and mandate: Whatever God commands must be obeyed. Obedience is key to our relationship with Him. [Isaiah 1:19], "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. Every command of God is usually for the advantage of the commanded. God is God, and cannot improve Himself."
[2]. God created us in His image and after His likeness: He did not create us as ants, toads, fish, birds, cows,s or even elephants, but He created us as man. In other words, man carries the DNA and TNT of God. An ideal man is a carrier of the glory of God. When man exercises dominion, he is speaking his native language as God's unique creature. In [John 14:8-9], when Philip asked Jesus to show them the Father, Jesus reprimanded him saying that anyone who sees Him sees God. His form as a man was a true reflection and image of God. We were created as such too.
[3]. To destroy the works of the devil: The fall of man, unfortunately, led to the rise of Satan. According to [I John 3:18], Jesus had to come in the guise of a man to destroy the works of Satan. We also must do likewise. Our fall handed over our mandate to Satan to reign and become the god of this world [II Corinthians 4:4]. However, the good news is that Jesus, by His redemptive work on the cross of calvary reconciled us (the believers) back to our original mandate of fruitfulness and reign. Hallelujah!
[4]. The earth realm must be under God's authority: [Psalm 24:1], "The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein". The earth belongs to our God and He gave it originally to man to occupy. Man, being a carrier of God's glory, is to ensure that God's glory fills the earth by the discharge of the given authority and dominion.
As forecasted by [Habakkuk 2:14] says, "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea."
Welcome to your season of divine dominion for supernatural authority. For divine empowerment and for righteous reign and rulership. You shall take charge. You shall rule. You shall reign. You shall dominate. You were born for a time such as this. Welcome to your season. Welcome to your timeless tenure.

Season of Dominion
"He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth." [Psalm 72:8].
Beyond fruitfulness, part of the first mandate of God to mankind is to subdue and have dominion over all creatures He has made. [Genesis 1:28] says: "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth".
to dominate is to be in charge or to take control. If God did not want you to take charge, He would not have mandated you to dominate. By the time God stepped into the appalling slavery situation of the Israelites, Pharoah, who was once in control, became the one begging for help [Exodus 12:30-32]. He even asked Moses to pray for him. In that situation where you have been the underdog, God is turning things around and putting you in charge in Jesus's Name. It is now time for you to suppress your oppressors and tormentors, and to subdue under your feet those who had earlier taken you captive. I command the tables to turn for your good today in Jesus' Name!
Meanwhile, it is good to know that since God has once turned around the situation of the oppressed, He can do it again. Even if nobody has ever had dominion before in your family, it will start with you. Fear not! In [Joshua 10:12-14], while fighting the Amorites, the sun was about to set when Joshua interrupted it. The problem is that most of us run from the enemy rather than confront it. David did not run away from the lion, the bear, or even Goliath. rather, he confronted and fought against them all. in January of a particular year, I went to preach in Denver, Colorado. At that time it was very cold, and I don't like it cold. Maybe that is partly why God made me a Nigerian. I prefer the Nigerian weather. on receiving the invite, I asked my Daddy if I should go, and He said yes. I asked Him, "What are we going to do about the cold?" God then assured me that He would go with me. From the first day, I arrived until the day I left, people were wearing T-shirts because summer replaced winter. Know that this was not just a coincidence, within two hours after my plane took off at 5pm, more than 10cm of snow fell. You too can tap into God's mandate to dominate situations and circumstances around you from today. You will dominate sin, your passions, your body, and your finances from today in Jesus' Name.

Redemption Benefits
"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:" - [Job 19:25-26]
A songwriter sang: "You carry me when some carry their god; you feed me, Lord when some feed their god; you fight for me when some fight for their god..." What stands the Christian God out as the only true God is that He is alive! Scriptures record [Revelation 1:18] thus: "I am he that liveth, and I was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death". Because our God is alive, we shall also live, and reign with Him. That is the blessed hope we have as believers of Christ. In an age of so much uncertainty, it suffices that our redeemer liveth. Despite the despair caused by the terrible happenings in the world today, our redeemer liveth. We may not understand nor be able to explain why things happen the way they do, but we are confident that our God can do no wrong.
Beloved, our redeemer is alive to that task and challenge you may be facing. Only stretch out your faith and touch Him and you will be singing a new song. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow. Shalom!
